Peaceful morning to you, Your Excellency.
Our health mastery series continues…..
I can rightly say that there are two major factors that affect our well-being. The first factor is NATURE, the second factor is NUTURE.
Based on nature, human beings can be classified into 2 groups, Hereditary Advantaged People (HAP) and Hereditary Disadvantaged People (HDP).
Hereditary Advantaged People (HAP) are individuals who are less susceptible to various forms of genetic diseases (i.e. cancer, hypertension, diabetes, sickle cells and other hereditary predisposed diseases) due to the healthy genes from their parents and favorable family history. Hereditary Disadvantaged People (HDP) are individuals who are PRONE to various diseases or disorder because of susceptible genes they inherited from both parents or family members i.e. they are predisposed to one or more of the following health threats; obesity, cancers, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, sickle cell anemia, downs syndrome, coronary heart disease, arthritis, blood clots, depression, high cholesterol, stroke, high blood pressure, pregnancy losses and birth defects amongst others.
Based on NURTURE, I categorized people into 2 groups
Health Conscious people (HCoP)
Health Careless people (HCaP)
Health Conscious People (HCoP) are those who live a health conscious lifestyle; they are quite watchful of what they eat and drink, they are pretty conscious of their thoughts and emotions, they are very intentional in exercising regularly, they also pay keen attention to the well-being of their body, mind and spirit. On the other hand, Health Careless People (HCaP) are those who show I Don’t Care (IDC) attitude when it comes to their health, they often eat and drink carelessly, they don’t exercise, and they hardly pay close attention to the well-being of their body, mind and spirit. They seldom show interest in their physical, mental and emotional health.
It is a fact of life that we cannot determine the family we were born into or the kind of parents that gave birth to us, but our actions and inactions as we trudge through life contribute profoundly to our health status. In other words, we have no control on the NATURE of our body, but we have immense control on the NUTURE of our being.
Are you a health concious person or a health careless person? Are you a hereditary advantaged person or otherwise? If YES, what lifestyle are you adopting to be on a safe side? How can you nurture your body, mind and spirit to great health?
Your health is in your hands. We can decide to do the right things or otherwise when it comes to our well-being, but there is always a CONSEQUENCE for our actions.
I wish you great health. But we must do the right things.
Do you have any question? Kindly ask your health strategist and wellness (full potential) coach?
