Was Chief Architect of the phenomenal success of the MTN consumer and brand marketing strategy in Nigeria, a key reason for the out-performance of MTN among its peers in the Nigeria telecommunications industry. Responsible for MTN Nigeria consumer business strategy; market share and revenue targets of more than one billion dollars annually. Led industry analysis and the development of competitive strategies at business and segment levels; including the development of business plans. This includes customer acquisition, margin-growth and retention (churn management) strategies. Led Marketing Managers to develop/ execute segments, brand and product marketing programs to achieve market share, revenue (ARPU) and margin objectives. MTN became the leading mobile telecom network in Nigeria with more than 9 million subscribers.
Well rounded cross –cultural experience in sales, channel management, marketing, advertising and general management. International experience at leadership levels in the not-for-profit sector at Populations Services International, enabling a strong grounding in public policy and social development issues in Africa.
